IronSpire JobSite 2.2 Adds Microsoft .NET Framework for Improved Collaboration Across Construction Supply Chains

Portland, OR - April 17, 2002 IronSpire Inc., a leading provider of online collaboration solutions for the construction industry, today announced the release of IronSpire JobSite 2.2, adding Microsoft .NET Framework to its application environment. The upgrade to the .NET platform continues the company's commitment to streamlining information flows by removing the barriers to data sharing and software integration between businesses. JobSite 2.2 enables construction teams comprised of multiple businesses on disparate systems to collaborate and exchange information much more easily, leading to increased efficiency and more effective decision making.

JobSite 2.2 is the first construction application employing the .NET Framework. The platform upgrade improves access to data stored within the IronSpire SQL database via Internet standard protocols such as XML and SOAP. These capabilities enable project and cost data collected by teams to be shared much more easily with other applications.

"Information flows into and out of each team member's corporate systems are critical to project optimization," states Robert Ellis, IronSpire CEO. "JobSite 2.2 with .NET allows our customers to design best-of-breed solutions that use XML and XML Web services to achieve seamless data transfer."

IronSpire JobSite 2.2 provides collaboration solutions to construction teams via 24x7 Web access to secure project sites. Businesses within the construction supply chain can now create processes that share data between applications hosted internally or on other Web sites. IronSpire will announce other enhancements to the JobSite environment in the next few months, using .NET to leverage third party tools such as Seagate's Crystal Decisions to improve data viewing and access across the team.
