IronSpire today announced IronSpire JobSiteT version 2.0 that offers
construction managers an enterprise-level approach to contractor relationship
management. Whereas previous versions of JobSite focused on the project level,
version 2.0 provides a tool for owners, developers, and general contractors to
optimize contract, project, and accounting information to streamline
communication between multiple companies, departments, and projects. Control
over look-and-feel and licensing allows construction managers to offer
IronSpire JobSite as a branded extension of their web sites and services.
Enterprise-level
Contractor Management
"Construction is an information intensive business that relies
on good communication and trust to make things work," explains Robert Ellis,
IronSpire CEO."At the end of the day, it's how well you manage the relationship
with your subs and suppliers that makes the difference between a profitable
project and a bust."
IronSpire
JobSite provides a secure, flexible environment with which to manage contractor
relationships by expertly handling the communication flow between company
'insiders' and the rest of the team. The basis of IronSpire's data management
system is the ability to share drawings, schedules, RFIs, etc. online, provide
real time notifications, and remotely manage review and approval workflows.
Full text search and archiving complete the tool set.
Patent-pending
Technology
IronSpire JobSite v. 2.0 introduces two new technologies
that extend the company'sXML-supported platform for
future data-level integration with enterprise systems such as accounting,
estimating, and project management applications. A new X-tensible data
schema allows for user-defined objects to be added to IronSpire's
web enabled object-oriented database. The concept of an X-tensible document
allows for user-defined views to be created for the capture and display of
these new data objects.Version 2.0 also introduces expanded workflow
management, MySite personalized for each user's needs, and new
calendar and subscription components.
Site
Administration and Security
New with Version 2.0 is the ability for construction managers
to build branded sites within which to run their projects and to manage other
contractor communication. The IronSpire JobSite branded site can be integrated
into a corporate web site and made to look like a natural extension of the
company's offering. With the 2.0 toolset, the web site manager can administer
all site build out, new project creation, and user licensing if desired.
