IronSpire and Timberline Software Partner to Streamline Communication Across Construction Supply Chains

PORTLAND, OR - July 18, 2000 - IronSpire Inc. and Timberline Software Corp. announced a partnership today that gives construction project managers the ability to leverage the communications functionality of IronSpire's JobSiteT decision support platform with Timberline's leading construction estimating and accounting software for more efficient supply chain management. IronSpire's JobSite provides construction teams with a project-specific extranet through which office-based and remote team members can communicate and access up-to-date documents using the Internet and mobile computing devices.

Timberline's software complements JobSite and IronSpire's other service offerings as part of IronSpire's company mission to provide the construction industry with real-time decision support for project management. The integration of Timberline and JobSite will offer project managers a new way to streamline subcontractor and vendor communication. Through JobSite, they will be able to electronically share common documents generated by Timberline, such as invoices, purchase orders and estimates, with other business partners.

Timberline's accounting capabilities bolster JobSite's existing features that address issues unique to construction accounting. For example, in the event of a dispute, the project manager is protected by JobSite's searchable archive function which documents all written communications between the team members, including vendors and subcontractors. In addition, because the project manager can set up rules for individual team members' access privileges to various parts of the project JobSite, the system can manage sensitive financial documents and communications. Invoices can be approved quickly and sent on to accounting for payment. Accounting also can have instant visibility as to the impact of change orders on job costs. Subcontractors and suppliers can be managed in a way that optimizes payment and deliveries.

"We recognize the industry's need for improved communication and are continually looking for ways to help our customers achieve a tighter, faster information flow within their project teams," says Curtis Peltz, Timberline President and CEO. "By integrating Timberline and JobSite, we can offer our customers a way to freely share Timberline documents with other project participants."

"Partnering with Timberline makes perfect sense for our construction customers," says IronSpire CEO Robert Ellis. "With their estimating and accounting capabilities and JobSite's communications management tools, running a project takes a lot less administration because there's less paperwork, greater control over vendors, and instantaneous access to up-to-date records at all times from anywhere where there's an Internet connection."
